Stopping by

Just stopping by to let you all know that I experienced snow for the first time in 2+ years. I thought that I really missed snow when I was in Tanzania and I think that still might be true but I SURE don't miss the cold that goes along with it. I went from 95 ish with humidity to 35 freezing my butt off nastiness with dry air. My lips are dry my legs are dry my nose is dry - everything is dry. The humidifier is broken (go figure!) I can't sleep because my nose is too dry. I want to breathe into the sheets to get some humidity and that works great for awhile until I run out of oxygen and have to resurface. I have heard of a runny nose keeping people awake at night but a DRY one? This just proves that I am slightly abnormal - but I like it that way.

Ah, but I should be thankful for being home, which I am.

Starting to get some things sorted out. Making some life changing decisions. I still will not be updating regularly for a while.

It's funny how we block these less then pleasant parts out our memories. :-) Put a pan of water on the heat register in your room...better then nothing...or plug in an electric kettle about a half hour in your room before you go to bed (make sure you unplug it before going to sleep!)
