I was ATTACKED! Yes, that is right. I was attacked the other day!

My friend has a nice African Grey parrot. It has gotten used to my charm and affection and will let me "scratch it's head" and give it beak kisses. Just a wonderful parrot. It even talks and makes funny noises. That is what I USED to think of this bird. I wa leaning over with my big lips to give it beak kisses and the damn thing BIT ME! right on the lip. It was bleeding and then it got all swollen and nasty. I never even seen the bird coming!

I was thinking of sticking the thing in the oven and having drum sticks for supper. I think parrot would taste better than crow...

My daughter had a conure (it's like a cockatiel) And he loved to have is neck "scratched". He would back up to you and lift his neck feathers to indicate where to scratch. We used to let him fly around loose in the house and he would perch on our shoulder and jabber at us. It was cute until it started turning into a big ordeal getting him back in his cage. 	Deborah发表: My brother's parrot was so funny. It walked all over the house, would get up on the couch and watch TV with me. One night while my brother left so I could entertain a gentleman with a great meal, soft music and candles, I hadn't counted on the damn bird, taking a dislike to this man, and kept running over and biting him on the leg. Well this guy turned out to be cheating on me, so I guess the bird was a better judge of character than I was. So sorry about your lip though.
